4th Edition of the Lean Construction Management Project at ESTP on November 19th

An Active and Innovative Pedagogy

Three years ago, ESTP, in partnership with CIPE Le changement en jeu, launched the Lean Construction Management project. This educational program, designed for 3rd-year engineering students as part of the "Management and Communication" track, combines hybrid learning with a practical case study in an immersive environment. The goal is to introduce our students to Lean principles applied to construction processes while developing their soft skills, adaptability, and teamwork abilities.

The 4th Edition of the Project

We are pleased to announce the 4th edition of the Lean Construction Management day, which will take place on November 19th across the campuses in Cachan, Dijon, and Troyes. This event will bring together over 300 third-year students, supervised by more than 15 professional tutors who are experts in their fields.

Optimizing to Build Better

Launched in 2021, this project aims to optimize construction processes through hybrid learning, which includes courses, e-learning, conferences, and case studies. Students take on the role of consultants to audit the company Domobois, which specializes in manufacturing wooden houses. The project is conducted in five operational phases:

Process Mapping
Waste Detection
Sharing Observations
Developing an Action Plan
Presenting Recommendations

Educational Objectives

The objectives are to work in teams, apply Lean Management concepts, and develop the students' adaptability.

A Strong Partnership

The tutors participating in this project come from ESTP’s partner companies, including VINCI Construction, OPPBTP, Setec, Socotec, Spie batignolles, Demathieu et Bard, Wiopti, and Bouygues Construction.
