Recap of the IdB XD Engineering Projects Final

On June 5th, a team of engineering students from ESTP won the 1st prize in the higher education (bachelor's +5) category during the final of the "Génies de la Construction" competition.

In total, 4 ESTP projects were in the running for this final. They had been preselected at the end of April by a professional jury as part of the IdB XD project final at ESTP.

The IdB XD Engineering Project

Every year, the ESTP’s Concrete Engineering Chair (IdB), in partnership with the EFB Foundation, organizes the IdB XD engineering project.

This year's theme was: transforming and rehabilitating industrial heritage, with a focus on a magnificent building, the Mine de Noyant (03), designed by Eugène Freyssinet. A topic that inspired some exciting projects!

Supported by coaches from the school and professional coaches, nearly 200 of our students put into practice the skills acquired during their training to propose innovative, realistic, and environmentally friendly solutions.

After an initial jury, the best projects were presented at the annual final, which took place at the end of April before a jury composed of a representative from the Amis de la Mine de Noyant association and experts in heritage structures, structural engineering, and concrete.

The diversity of projects and the innovative solutions chosen caught the jury's attention, leading to the selection of 6 projects to continue and compete in the "Génies de la Construction" competition.

The Chev’Allier Project, Winner at the "Génies de la Construction" Competition

Of these 6 projects, 4 made it to the competition final, and the 1st prize in the higher education (bachelor's +5) category was awarded to the team of the Chev’Allier project, including Flore DELMARRE, Rose ASSAMOI NIANGORAN, Mohamed Amine HOSSAYNI, Shengnan CAO, and Lucas DUMARET!
